Water Saving Benefits of Synthetic Turf Lawns

Nationwide, landscape irrigation is estimated to account for nearly one-third of all residential water use, totaling nearly 9 billion gallons per day.  The estimates for commercial water use on landscape creation and maintenance could even be higher.

Outdoor water use varies greatly depending upon geographic location. In dry climates such as the Southwest, a businesses outdoor water use can be as high as 60 percent. The average homeowners traditional grass lawn is one of the most water intensive parts of the home. Its estimated that 60% of some homeowners outdoor water bill is generated from watering the lawn.
